Executive Board Meeting

The Executive Board is composed of six elected officials divided into voting and non-voting roles. The four voting members, collectively known as the Board of Trustees, include the President, Public Works Trustee #1, Water & Wastewater Trustee #2, and Constable Trustee #3. The two non-voting administrative positions include the Village Treasurer and the Village Clerk.

Regular meetings are scheduled for 7:00 PM on the second Monday of every month at Village Hall, though dates are subject to modification. Notice regarding any meeting schedule changes is published according to state statutes. Meeting agendas are made available at least 24 hours in advance and are posted on the Village Hall bulletin board as well as the Agendas and Minutes. Members of the public are welcome to attend.

Stand Up Meeting

Stand Up Meetings of the Executive Board are scheduled to address matters that cannot wait until the next regularly scheduled Board Meeting and are published at least 24 hours in advance. Board of Review

The annual Board of Review is announced in the first quarter of each year. Publishing sites include the Village website (Calendar and News & Announcement pages) and at Village Hall. Planning Commission

The Village Planning Commission, as established under the provisions of Wisconsin Statutes 61.35 and §62.23(1), is the plan commission referred to in the Village of North Bay Code of Ordinances located in Chapter 2 and Chapter 8. The Village President, or his designee, shall be the Chairman of the Village Planning Commission. The Planning Commission shall discharge duties as defined in Chapter 2 and Chapter 8. Board of Appeals

The Board of Appeals is composed of five resident members who are appointed by the Village President and confirmed by the Board of Trustees. Elected officials are excluded from membership on the Board of Appeals.

Members serve a staggered three-year term under the terms and conditions specified by Ordinance. These consist of two 2-person three-year terms and one individual three-year term. The Village President selects one member to serve as chairperson and also appoints two alternate members.

Annually, the Village President designates a first alternate and a second alternate. The first alternate assumes full power only when a regular member is absent or abstains from voting due to a conflict of interest. The second alternate acts only if the first alternate is absent or abstains, or if multiple regular members are absent or disqualified. All operations of the Board of Appeals are governed by Village Ordinances and Wisconsin Statute §62.23(7)(e).

Committees

In March 2024, the Board of Trustees replaced the former Public Land Task Force with the Erosion Control/Greenspace Committee to address Village issues including the Village of North Bay Park (on Vincennes Circle), erosion control, the ravine and/or infrastructure (bridges, public roads, and Village Hall).
