PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the Village of North Bay Village Board will hold a public hearing at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, March 11th, 2024 at 3615 Hennepin Place, regarding a proposed Ordinance to repeal and re-create section Section 8.16, entitled “Floodplain Overlay Districts” of the Village of North Bay Code of Ordinances. During the Village Caucus held on January 8th, 2024, nominations were put forth for the following three Village offices that will appear on the April 2nd, 2024 ballot: Trustee #1 Public Works, Trustee #2 Water & Wastewater and Treasurer. 

In December 2023, the Village Newsletter announced that Trustee #1 Rich Schmitt decided not to seek another term.

Trustee #1 Public Works does not have a candidate. Rick Cermak (Trustee #2) and Robert O’Brien (Treasurer) were nominated to serve another term and both filed the required Candidacy papers to appear on the April 2nd 2024 ballot.

The Village of North Bay Planning Commission is scheduled to meet at 6:00 PM on Monday, February 5th, 2024 at Village Hall to address a state and federal mandate related to updating North Bay’s Flood Plain ordinance and anticipated changes to the City of Racine Sewer Agreement. The meeting includes a Town Hall segment to facilitate an open discussion with village residents. Click on the link below to view the agenda which includes topics. At 8:12 PM on Monday, January 8th, 2024, the Village of North Bay Board of Trustees voted to pass Resolution 2024-1 related to the Racine County Intergovernmental Cooperation Council (RCICC) request that participating RCICC members support RCICC’s goal to pass a resolution related to Shepherds College.
